# Carrier Portal Getting Started

> How carrier users access and use the Yardo carrier portal.

Use the Yardo Carrier Portal to view your bookings, request appointments, upload required documents, and stay aligned with facility requirements.

## What You Can Do In The Carrier Portal

* view upcoming and past bookings tied to your carrier account
* request a new appointment when a facility allows portal booking
* check booking status and required next steps
* upload documents requested by a facility
* manage appointment updates that the facility has made available to carriers

## Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

* the carrier portal link provided by the facility or Yardo
* access to the email address used for your carrier account
* your booking details, such as reference number, location, and requested date

## Sign In

<Steps>
  ### Open the carrier portal

  Use the sign-in link provided to your company.

  ### Enter your account details

  Sign in with your work email address and password.

  ### Complete any verification step

  If prompted, finish the verification step before continuing.

  ### Review your dashboard

  After signing in, review the bookings dashboard and any pending actions.
</Steps>

If your company uses invitation-based access, use the invitation link exactly as it was provided to you.

## View Your Bookings

After signing in, go to **My Bookings** to review:

* upcoming appointments
* recent booking activity
* status changes
* document requirements
* facility instructions attached to a booking

## Request A New Appointment

1. Open the booking page for the facility.
2. Enter the required shipment and carrier details.
3. Review any appointment rules shown by the facility.
4. Submit the request.

Your experience may vary by facility policy:

* some facilities allow direct self-service requests
* some require contact verification
* some limit booking to approved or invited carriers
* some place new requests into a review queue before confirmation

## Upload Required Documents

If a facility requires documents before arrival:

1. Open the booking details page.
2. Review the required document list.
3. Upload the requested file for each requirement.
4. Confirm the upload completed successfully.

If a document is rejected, review the reason and upload a corrected version.

## Track Booking Status

Use the booking details page or status view to monitor changes such as:

* pending review
* confirmed
* rescheduled
* cancelled
* awaiting documents

If the booking remains pending longer than expected, contact the facility directly.
